Goodwins Theory

Goodwin suggested that within a music video lyrics will make constant reference to visuals on screen, and will also reinfore what the lyrics say. For example, someone could be singing a line such as ' Dance dance dance' and the artist would physically dancing whilst singing this very line. Another good example of this is a song i have come across 'Nothing on you' by B.O.B he is a famous hip-hop artists. The lyrics depict a boy who is in love or showing intrest in one particular girl, using personal terms such 'you' and 'i'. This is further emphasised on screen by the artist being with all these girls then finally he meets the one he wants to be with, this is also emphasised by the artists singing 'They have nothing on you'.
